Mandee was born in Chicago, raised in Indiana before she wandered out west. Whether shooting portraits, advertising campaigns, or personal projects, Mandee’s work captures the rawness, vulnerability and sincerity of her subjects. Her unique style mixes her grounded storytelling with pops color and personality across her diverse portfolio.

In addition to her photo work, Mandee is the Co-Founder and Executive Producer at CleftClips, a comedy-oriented production company behind popular live shows such as The Super Serious Show and Hot Tub With Kurt & Kristen. With CleftClips, Mandee is an acclaimed comedy producer.

In the summer of 2020, Andrews McMeel published Mandee’s first book, Super Serious: An Oral History of Los Angeles Independent Stand-Up Comedy with portraits from a decade of The Super Serious Show.

Mandee currently lives in Los Angeles with her partner Joel Mandelkorn and their three plants.
